Would like to hear from anyone connected with any of the following with the surname INNIS or ENNIS, male or female. These I am listing were all married in Christian Co, MO. ENNIS, Eliza A. married J.H. ALEXANDER on March 1872 ENNIS, Hildreth married Iradelle Gordon on Dec. 24, 1936 ENNIS, Lydia A. married John THOMPSON Dec.10,1872 ENNIS, Mae married Lonnie COMPTON April 4, 1927 ENNIS, Nancy J. married William MORRIS July 4, 1877
INNIS, Nancy Jane married Lewis Henry SMITH October 1878.She was born March 9, 1858, MO.The spelling INNIS is how she is listed on the Christian Co, MO marriages. But, we have seen it spelled ENNIS as well. She died Dec. 23, 1899 in Luther, Oklahoma Co, OK.She was my gg-grandmother.
Then I have these two Ennis females, found on the 1876 Agriculture Census of Christian Co, MO. They were N.J. ENNIS (age 18-21 in 1876); and M.D. ENNIS (age 10-18 in 1876).Their mother, Nancy, was married at that time to David LAY.
I would like to hear from all INNIS and ENNIS to see if there could be a connection with my Nancy Jane INNIS (ENNIS).She was called "Nannie", and it is on her headstone as well.Hopefully, I might "noodle out" who her parents may have been.
I appreciate very much hearing from anyone on this. You can respond on this website as well as emailing me direct. As I don't always make it to this site every day. My email is:SydneyJP42@aol.com
