Hi Sylvia!Clyde Rice here, a descendant of Emmeline Colvin/Inscho/Lovell.She had two children from James Byron Inscho.James Washington Inscho Lovell and Charlotte Lanisa Inscho Lovell. They both took their mother's new husband's name.Charlotte was my great grandmother on my dad's side.Emmeline never went to CA. and lived to be 101 years old.She is buried in Allen, NE. along with her second husband, James Riley Lovell.Charlotte and her husband, my great grandfather, James Ira Rice are also buried there.James Riley Lovell and Emmeline had a bunch more kids, so there are a lot of real Lovells out there.

Some interesting stories about Emmeline, daughter Charlotte, and her oldest son.The Sioux City, IA. newspaper did an article on them, back in the 1930's or so.All living together yet, and Ira in his sixtys or more having to ask his mother if they should subscribe to the paper.

The story is that James B. Inscho did drown in a river, not sure if it was in CA. or in trying to get there.

I sure would like to see the Y-DNA halotype of a male Inscho desendant!Y-DNA testing really helped me.I was able to break down the brick wall and add six more generations and 200 plus years to my male line! Also tells me lots about where they came from, much farther back!Best investment I ever made in genealogy!

Clyde Rice, (previously Royce, before 1790, but apparently always pronounced Rice, as boil was "bile", hoist was "heist" and Royal was "Rile"!)
