Hi My family name is Ippolito. I grew up in Chicago but my grandparents came from Naples. I long to know about my family. My grandfather's name was Vincent and my grandma was Esperanza. IMy aunt went to Aquada Italy -near Naples- and found a cousin there. I wonder if we are all related to either Pope Clement V111 (family name-Ippolito) of the 16th century or either of the atists from a similar period - Pope Clement VIII (February 24, 1536 – March 3, 1605), born Ippolito Aldobrandini, was Pope from January 30, 1592 to March 3, 1605.
or a relative -mannerist painter for the court-Ippolito, Scarsella (Scarsellino) 1550-1620 Italian
or the Romantic painter - Ippolito, Caffi 1809-1866 Italian
Poor families usully don't sire a Pope- so they may have had money or position- and artists as progenies also. They were from the same time-frame. My family has lots of rthrits and the Pope did also.
Nova (PBS-TV) did a special on "the Cheddar-Man" years ago. It was about a farmer in Cheddar England that found bones of someone who lived on their land 10,000 years ago. The town did a DNA check to see if he had any relatives still living in this area -and guess what--they did. The principal of the middle-school there had a family that lived in this are for as far back as they could check. The main, dark bands on the dna findings (looking-like-a bar code image) lined up with each other perfectly. The small lines were off though- but the main -thick- bands matched. So the upshot of the Nova show stated that our dna--our blood so to say- is actually in the soil of these places we came from. Thus we have the characteristics that accompany our ethnicity because we were there for thousandsof years.
I would love to unite and discover some long lost family members. I live near San Francisco now. My e-mailis firstname.lastname@example.org
