Since I'm an Irey descenfdant I have a GEDCOM file that contains more than 2500 people.My record shows that John (B?) married Sarah Poole on 26 May 1788 in VA.She was born Jan 1765 in Goose Creek, PA.He was born 29 Jan 1757 in Louden County, VA and died 20 Dec 1837 in Marion County, OH.I have this note about him:Pioneer founding family of Marion County, Ohio.Served in the Revolutionary War in Yorktown.Fought under the command of General LaFayette at the time of surrender of Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown.

(from Polly Rapp at email@example.com, an Irey ancestor) I was not able to find much detail on John Irey's military service for you, but we do have a copy of an application for the Daughters of the American Revolution that provides some references to documents that may provide the kind of details you're looking for. First, a quote from the application in response to the Ancestor's Services section:
"John Irey was a soldier in the Rev. War, who under General Lafayette was at the surrender of Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown. He is buried in the Old Cemetery at Caledonia, Ohio. Official Roster--Soldiers of the American Revolution buried in Ohio, 1929--page 200."
The application notes that Irey was a private in the Revolutionary War.

My line goes through Samuel B to Levi to John to james Franklin Irey, my Grandfather.
Enos was b 20 Jul 1805 in Louden Co, VA and married twice - the first time to Mary Rollins on 3 Aug 1828, and they had 10children.As far as those ten, I have no family for Charles F.Enos then married Christina Bowyer in 1830 and they had one child, Albert E. Albert was b 8 Dec 1866 and married Sarah Ellen Click on 25 Dec 1889 in Marion County, OH.They had five children and my line on them ends with their names.
However I do have the line that ends with Tersa Ann Maddox Cloud who married in Stillwater, OK.My line on James L. come thru John B. Irey, Jr, b 1780.He was maried four times.His wife Kate Smith was the mother of James L. b 12/18/1812.James L. had 12 children including James Wisley who was b 1845.I have James Wisley marrying Mary Ann Newcombe in 1865 in Tipton, MO and having 8 children.My list with those eight as follows:Benjamin H. bBlanche Olive, b 1870; Cloydius, b 1871; Emma E. b 1866; James L. b 1868; Lucy L., b 1868; Nancy Jane, b 1875; and Ralph R. b 1875.Tom Lawrence, firstname.lastname@example.org
