I am trying to trace ANN ISBISTER who married RICHARD SANDERCOCK in 1854 at The Parish Church of Sunderland, County Durham, England. Her father's name on the marriage certificate was MAGNUS ISBISTER and Ann gave her age as 24.
The line I think is mine, yet to proven, is based on the marriage of MAGNUS ISBISTER & MARGARET CLOUSTON, on 27th February, 1781 in Harray, Orkneys, Scotland. Their presumed issue:-
Is MAGNUS (2) ISBISTER who married MARGARET CORRIGEL, 5th January, 1899 isTheir issue believed to be:-
MAGNUS (3) ISBISTER (b.1800 Harry, Orkneys)who married ANN HARVEY (?) believe this to be sometime after 25th November 1827 the date of ANN ISBISTER's christening, when the mother's name was not given.
The only ANN ISBISTER born in 1830 does not have MAGNUS ISBISTER as a father.
ANN ISBISTER b. 1827 does not apparently appear on the 1841 Census of the Orkneys. Next appearance is 1854 (her marriage), then 1861 Census and then disappears yet again.
Do any of the above ring any bells somewhere? Would love more information on the above please.
