I am looking for the gravesite of Licia Isler (later Eubanks) of Leary Georgia (Calhoun County).I am a descendent of Licia and her husband Enoch Eubanks.Licia dies at age 26 of pneumonia, but had three children by that time.Enoch remarried and died a few years after Licia. The 2nd wife (Elisha Johnson) took her step children and moved to now Houston County Alabama.
I am looking for the burial location of Enoch Eubanks born in 1842, originally married to Licia Isler. The remaining family states "Leary Georgia", but I have looked at many cemeteries there and have not found his nor his wife's grave. He could be in Leary, or any of the surrounding towns in Calhoun county, if not some of the other counties in the area.
Enoch served in the 12th Georgia Company D regiment of the Confederate Army. He was wounded at the battles of McDowell, 2nd Manassas, and Gettysburg in the defense of the South. He lived through the war and surrendered at Appomattox. A tough man.
I am a proud descendent of his and am looking for his gravesite, so any information would be appreciated.
