I am also a descendent of John Jarvis and Hannah Hill Jarvis. According to a family geneaology that was given to me a few years ago:
John Jarvis,b. circa 1750, apparently did not get on with his wife Sarah Hood and she stayed in Maryland on the family estate while he went west. She may have later married an O'Brien. John was the oldest son of John and Hannah Hill Jarvis. He died in the 1820s. His father emigrated from Hillshire, England and was born in 1720, died 1795.
I found two Samuels:
Samuel Jarvis b. 1855, son of Weeden Harrison Jarvis (son of Thomas Jarvis and Elsa Connally) and Elizabeth J. Hensley Jarvis . He married Ida Cooper and later Sarah Vincent Owens. No record of marriage to a Fisher.
Samuel Jarvis, b. Feb.4, 1851, son of James A. Jarvis (son of Joseph Jarvis and Hannah Burkhammer) and Agnes Love (Speirs) Jarvis
this Samuel's sister was Beatrice Ellen Jarvis who was married twice to 1)James Lloyd2) Jenkins Bailey (must be your James Lloyd Jenkins Bailey.
There was Sarah, a daughter of Caleb Jarvis(b. c 1801) and Diana (White) Jarvis who was born c. 1831. Caleb later married Barbara Fisher and another Sarah McCoy(Rickie) He also has a sister named Sarah. Caleb was the son of John Jarvis (son of John and Hannah Hill)and Sarah Hood Jarvis.
I found a notation of a Margaret Jarvis, nicknamed "Mazy"who was the daughter of Soloman Jarvis, brother of Caleb, she was born c. 1799, no record of her marriages.
There was a Sally Jarvis, born circa 1835, dtr. of Soloman and Polly Edison (Connolly) (Cox) Jarvis
Caleb and Soloman were both sons of John Jarvis and Sarah Hood.
I found an Anne A. Jarvis who married Johnson Turner, then I realized her sister Margaret "Peggy" Jarvis married Jackson Turner. Both are dtrs. of Joseph Jarvis, another son of John Jarvis and Sarah Hood Jarvis. He married Hannah Burkhammer.
My family is descended from ThomasJarvis, b. 1804, another son of John and Sarah.
I am myself descended from William Harrison "Rusty Bill" Jarvis, a son of William Harrison Jarvis and Catherine Barber. My grand dad Curtis was his son.
Keep me posted on any new discoveries. Thanks. Diana Jarvis Godwin
