Hello, cousin. You have information on life in Ontario. I have information on life in Cornwall. The group from Cornwall came together. Thomas Orchard died suddenly in Ohio. Betsy Wilton with her children claimed their land, Jane was her younger sister. I am happy to share anything. Isaac Beatty also came with them and he became Betsy's second husband. My mother will be 89 this month. She still talks about Grandma Beatty, but I have almost no information on any of our relatives from Canada.
I have only a single Jasper, Thomas, in my records. Turns out you are the source of that information.
I left this message on GenForum two years ago (under England>Cornwall) about the birthplace of Thomas Orchard:
Please, someone, tell me of Poundstock. Is it on the coast or inland? Does it still exist? What is its music and its wine? Its oldest stories? Its saddest songs? Its heroes? Are the Orchards still alive and well in Cornwall?
I got direct messages, but many more came outside of GenForum and directed me to the Cornwall list on Rootsweb where I wrote and exchanged information and recipes and songs and stories for a year. You have about 50 relatives in Texas and about 20 in California and Colorado who are descendants of the Wilton/Orchard clan. Feel free to ask anything.
I don't know the ship they came on, but I know the group from Cornwall came together. There are many descendants of this group online. Since you have pieces I do not, maybe we can figure out this puzzle together.
