I do not know for sure that Sophia is a sister, but if you look at the 1870 MI Census online, you will see Clarisa with Henry in Leslie, MI, with 2 children.
The fact that the Tainter's, Jaycox, & Hull's lived near each other, married & witnessed marriages, leads me to believe they were close friends.
By 1870, Sophia may have passed away & Henry remarried a woman named Clarissa. It seems descendants of Henrietta Jaycox Hull may know the answers to some of your questions.
In 1870, Daniel & Eliza (HUll) Tainter are living in Onondaga, MI, but by 1880 they had moved to Boyne City, MI.The parents of Eliza & Cortes Hull, Frederick & Persis (Barnes) Hull, followed them there, as did many Hull relations.Henrietta & Cortes stayed in Ingham County, MI & the photograph I have, taken in 1886, says EATON RAPIDS on the studio mark.
The Hull family is well documented, as is the Tainter family.I have the names, dates of birth & marriages on all the Hull children.
If you find the descendants of Hernietta Jaycox Hull & Cortes, they may have the Jaycox inf. on place of birth & siblings of all the Jaycox line.
