Has anyone ever found and verified the information about the ship that Robert Jefferis (who married Jane Chandler in 1692) came across on?I have seen information posted by people that he landed at Wades Landing in 1681.There is also some information on a site by Norma Jennings that states "Robert Jefferis, with his wifeand three children came to New England with William Hillier in the vessel Elizabeth & Ann with Cooper as master. Came to Chester Co., Pa. in 1684." I found on the "mayflowerfamilies.com/ships" site the "Elizbeth and Ann" ship sailing of 1635 that lists a "Robert Jefferies (30), wife - Marie (27), children -Thomas (7), Elizbeth (6) and Mary (3) bound for New England." There is no William Hillier listed with them on this site; BUT the master of the ship is Roger Cooper.I am wondering if these people are the family that Norma Jennings has listed as part of the history of Robert Jefferis who married Jane Chandler on her site. But it also makes me wonder if Robert Jefferis might be a grandson of this Robert Jefferies who came over on the "Elizabeth & Ann" back in 1635. Could that be why it is included on the Jennings sight but mistakenly tied to Robert Jefferis, as sailing in 1684? Would be interested in any facts anyone has about Robert Jefferis (of Jane Chandler marriage and lineage) and ship he came in on or if someone can tie him to the Robert Jefferies of "1635 Elizabeth & Ann" voyage.
