After doing some further reading of the other posts here, it makes sense that one of the brothers James and Isaac of Grantham, NH would have a daughter named Joanna since they had a sister named Joanna.
I have seen somewhere several children listed for James. Tthere is no Joanna but if born in 1771 she would be the eldest child and may have dropped out of sight. Does anyone have a list of Isaac's children? Anyone know who the "Ebenezer of Grantham" who married aDorcas Pope in 1782 belongs to?
Usually I can see some supporting name references that tie a family to the grandparents. In the Silas Church Sr. family, there are names reflecting the Church family: Caleb, Silas and Elizabeth and an Anna for Joanna. But then the names become rather Francophile: Marvil, Thylisma, Lorraine, Glyra... It makes me wonder why no "Isaac" or "James" if Joanna Jenne is the mother of the Church children.
