Thanks for the info but now I am puzzled. I found an E. N. Jobe in Minnesota 1885 Census. He was born in Indiana in 1825. He was 60 yrs old. His wife (59) was Elizabeth Jobe (born in Indiana), children were Mary E. Jobe, Jane Jobe, James Jobe, Isaac Jobe, Eugene Jobe, Barbara Jobe, William Jobe, Fred Jobe and 4 people named Post.
This is from the 1885 Minneapolis, Hennepin, MINN Census. They are family member 156, volume Hennepin, page 24 film number 000565742.
The names for E. N. Jobe's children are so similar to Willis Job family.
I found a census record that shows several of the children, including Eugene, being born in Iowa. The older children born in Indiana.
Eugene Jobe (grandfather) married Lucy K. Trumble (grandmother) in Carver County, MINN. At some point they moved to Preston, WA. then moved to Seattle, WA and 2 daughters were born. The youngest Eugenie met Henry Soderlund and I appeared on the scene.
