I received an e-mail from a Christer Gustavsson in 1999 saying that a record showed the Wetterstrom family left Gothenburg with the destination Montreal in 1889. The family was: J.A.Wetterstrom 36, Catharina 40, Alfhild 15, Maria 11, Olof (Carl)4, Anna 2, Ruth 0 years old. An older child of Catharina named Elis emigrated later. One child born between Maria and Olof was also named Anna, but died at about age 2. Their second Anna is the connection with the Johansson/Johnson family.Anna, my grandmother, married John August Johnson/Johansson in 1907 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
Lars Sten in the Central Soldiers Register is found under Document:SK-MUSIKER-1847 Sten, Lars (Hallberg) born 1823-07-19 Wife:Johansdotter Cajsa born 1829-03-22 Regiment:Skaraborgs regemente Comany:INTE ANGIVET Parish EJ Faststalid File Bostalle For Musiker
Do I understand correctly that the name Wetterstrom has a connection to the tailoring trade?
