Robert Johnson (c.1745-1833) was the eldest son of a Dublin apothecary, Thomas Johnson. He was admitted to the Irish Bar in 1776, and married Susan, daughter of John Evans, Dublin, in 1778. Robert Johnson was M.P. Hillsborough in the Irish parliament 1788-91 and 1797-1800. He was appointed a king’s counsel in 1791, a legal counsel to the Linen Board, and barrack master of Dublin, and counsel to the revenue in 1793. Robert Johnson, Milltown, County Dublin, was elected a member of the Dublin Society on 30 June 1796.
