Hello,
I'm not sure it's the right Erik now. The grave stone for Erik has 1860-1926. His wife was Hulda Sofia 1864-1931. Eriks father was Jonas Jonasson 1817-1895. Jonas Jonasson was a member of the Swedish parliment and reputedly helped found the Swedish peace and arbitration society which some claim to be the model for the UN - Anyway, I mention that as there is also a monument/obelisk(sp?) dedicated to Jonas on a piece of the family property in Gullaboas. Jonas was supposedly a fairly famous guy from around there at the time. I'm guessing your research might have turned up something about that if it was the same Jonas. On the other hand, many last nameschanged from generation to generation; Erik Jonasson, my great grandfather had children that went by both Jonasson and Eriksson depending on which documents and family bibles you dig through. Could your Jonas have gone by either last name? The problem is the birth year. I can email you photos if you would like that may confirm or dismiss any connection.
Regards,
Bonde
