Hi Rob, I have been looking at Sarah Wright Jubb in connection to the Deeley family of B'ham, Warwickshire. I did trace her back through the census and I think that Sarah may have been the illegitimate daughter of Ann Jubb. Do you definetly know that Sarah Wright Jubb was Ann's daughter?
This is the reason why I have come to my conclusion - but I could be wrong.
I believe Ann Jubb was the daughter of Robert Jubb and Susanna. This will possibly the Robert Jubb who married a Susannah Thorpe on the 16th october 1817 in Auborn, Lincolnshire UK. A Robert Jubb was christened at the Parish church, Dunston, Lincolnshire on the 19th march 1796.
A Robert Jubb and Susannah had a daughter Mary born who was christened on the 30th August 1818 Parish Church, Dunston, Lincolnshire. Although I have been unable to find Ann's christeneing she would have been born about 1825 ish.
Mary Jubb married Thomas Taylor in 1840 Sleaford District - Lincolnshire and in the 1851 census we find Sarah Jubb aged 7 living with them - niece - and she was said to be born in Lincoln Union Workshouse. Again in the 1861 census a Sarah Wright Jubb is still living with her Aunty & Uncle Thomas & Mary Taylor now aged 17 - niece - Gen servant born Lincoln. Living close by Mary is her father Robert aged 56 a widower born Dunston aged 56 - lab and in another house was a 25 year old servant Ann Jubb born Dunston.
Ann Jubb remained single for a number of years but in 1861 Sleaford District, Lincolnshire she married William Blow and they have a number of children. In 1871 Ann & William Blow are living in Nocton and in 1881 they are still living here and have both their father's present in the home : John Blows was 79 and Robert Jubb was 85.
IGI Records have Robert's Jubb's parents as Robert and Susannah and there is a Robert Jubb aged 65 Agr Labourer living in Dunston at the time of the 1841 census - this puts his birth age around 1776 - so is possibly/probably the right Robert to be Ann & Mary's grandfather - Robert Jnrs father.
The link below also list's the Blow family and Ann Jubb giving her father as being Robert.
I hope this may help you and fellow researchers of the Jubb family.
