I have been researching John Johnson of Baltimore County MD who died in the 1680's, and Robert Benger a close friend of his. They both were sureties for Michael Judd, when after he did not complete a courthouse project on time. This was a big thing to do to put tobacco(money)on the line for someone. This is a brotherly, brother-in-law type thing to do, so I suspect that John Johnson and Robert benger (who later married John Johnson's widow "Deborah") and Michael Judd might have been married to sisters. Robert Benger's first marriage was to Katherine, widow of Shadwell/Chadwell and daughter of Margaret Therrold. I suspect that the sisters last name was Therrold, or possibly Shadwell/Chadwell?
