Kading/Kaeding connections
My line of Kadings stems from a German that came to this country just before the Civil War. The story goes that there were 3 or more brothers. They entered at Galveston, Texas. He stayed in Texas and his brothers settled in Wisconson. He married and had started a family,(My great grandfather was James Henry Kading, Born in 1862)but joined the Confederate Army and was killed. It is believed that his name was Gustave Kading.I would like to know if anyone can verify this story from the perspective of the Wisconsin Kadings.I am also checking into getting J.H. Kading's death certificate to see if I can verify his parents names.Since he never knew his father, there were no stories or names of relatives to pass down. Thanks!
