First...There are SEVERAL Kaminski's in Poland, sort of liek a Johnson here!
Several Kaminski's migrated to the USA during WW I (Early 1900's)
Kaminsk (Kaminski) in polish means "rock/hard work".Many of the Kaminski's from Poland owned and operated mines (mainly coal).During WWI and WWII several Kaminski's were used by the German to produce manual labor in the mines they use to own!
Those who left the country came through New York and migrated to Chicago and Detroit due to the viability of labor! There are SEVERAL descendants of Kamnski's that live in these areas that were processed through Ellis Island!
I suspect you have ties to Detroit/Chicago!Over the past few years I have been doing a lot of research on the Kaminski name!I have located several lost relatives!
