Is anyone searching this family in Gloucester. They were there in 1890-1900s, I found these. I am looking for William H. Kangas, born in Finland 3 Nov., 1864. He married in Finland, ca. 1894, Johannah ---- (surname unknown) but she was born in Finland Feb., 1866). He came over in 1890 as a man about 26 years old, and landed with other folks from Finland, in Gloucester Port, or near there, we are sure. They were living in Gloucester, Massachusetts when the June, 1900 census was taken. Will was a quarryman as was many of the Finnish in that town in that census year. William and Johanna had been married in Finland in 1894.and had only one child at the tie. Lillja W. Kangas, b. Gloucester, March, 1900, age 2 months). Does anyone know about this family and its subsequent migration to Windsor County Vermont and settling in Chester, Vt.?
