Brenda: Thank you for answering my query.I now have more access to the census records via Ancestry and also the state of Missouri is now posting death certificates online at:/www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/.This website has the index complete for 1910-1956 and images now available for 1910-1932 and 1950-1956.
Evidently there were two different men named William H. Karch and the one I have been researching and the one you are connected to are not the same one.According to the online Missouri death certificate of my William H. Karch, he was born Dec. 6, 1871 in Decatur, Illinois and his death date was Nov. 23, 1953 in Webb City, Jasper Co., Missouri. His middle name was Henry. Also listed are William Karch and Eliza Brennen as his parents. His first wife was Caledonia Patten and his second wife's first name was Kate. William Henry and Kate are buried in the Goss Cemetery, Lawrence Co., Missouri, a mile south of the little village of Phelps.
In the 1910 census William H. and Kate are living in Joplin, Jasper Co., MO.In the 1920 and 1930 they are living in Phelps in Lawrence Co., Green Township, Missouri.
