Paula, it looks like you are well on your way with the DNA thing. I was sort of leaning towards the Family Tree DNA myself but was hesitant of promoting one over the other without knowing all the specifics. Of course my family also went through the half dozen anglicized versions of the name on official documents. At the beginning of the 1900's it didn't seem that important how it was spelled. At this stage I don't see a connection with the Illinois Kasprzak's but you can take a look at what I have added to Jeff Kasprick's Facebook site, "I am a Kasprick and proud of it". I have dealt with two genealogists in Poland, both have been difficult. If your family is from around the Poznan area you might be interested in the site, the "Poznan Project", have you used it at all?
