Yes, it is.Look under Carbray/Keane's of Quebec (March 2010), I think that's the full name of it.If not, it's very close.Which one is your's?
So your grandfather married in a Protestant church?Drat. They never seem to give the names of the parents.I have no idea then where to search. And looking for Kane/Keane in Ireland is next to impossible, even if we know the county. One needs the parish and even then, you'd be lucky if the records survived.
My relatives all seem to be involved with St-Anthony's, St-Ann's and St-Patrick's.Funny thing.I've noticed that funerals were only performed at St-Patrick's, along with baptisms and marriages I suppose. But I've never noticed any funerals at the other two.Maybe I'm mistaken but I've looked at what seems a million records. The churches must have all been very close together. I don't remember. It's been years since I've been to Montreal and I can't even remember when the last time I was in that part of town.
Let me know, though, if you find anything out.I will do the same.
