Although my name is Richard Kearsey, do not be afraid as I am not from Little Barrington and I am not 285 years old. I was just procrastinating as usual and flipping through the geneolgy threads when I came across yours. It is not too often I find reference to the name Kearsey spelled with an "A" let alone someone wit the same first name. I have been named after my father and I am pretty sure he was named after another ancestor but unfortunately I have absolutely no way to find out anything about my estranged family. We have been living in Newfoundland for at least a 100 years but before that it is all a mystery. I have been told that I had a great grandfather who jumped ship and swam to Nfld and I have also been told that I have relatives in County Cork. But these were completely unreliable sources that are very well versed in spinning yarns and telling lies fro entertainment purposes. anyhow, I was just wondering if you had any living relatives in Nfld currently, and if so their names. Also, I believe you mentioned a web page in progress ..any links yet? Have you ever found a coat of arms for the Kearsey name? If you have could you e-mail it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.Sorry I don't have anything interesting to offer in return, but I guess you can blame that on my family. ha ha.
