Jan 31, 1996 Married Sarah Ann Lutas, b 1856 d ?Married Oct 10, 1875.William b at Brough and m at St John's Church, Hensingham.Sarah, d/o John Lutas joiner of Keckle Terrace.William was an iron ore miner.After William's death, Sarah remarried at Durham on June 1, 1888 to Joseph John DIXON, aged 34, coalminer.Their children were: (1) Harry Dixon who married Mary and when she died, her sistr Annie. (2) Eleanor b Dec 8, 1890.She had a son Frank Dixon b 1912 who married Dorothy.She married George Renwich at Sunderland in 1914 and they had a daughter Lenah, born about 1932.She went to Australia and married Leigh Tindle and lived at Wollongong, NSW.Other children were Alwyn George Renwick b. 1916 and m. to Marguerita, Joyce Margaret Renwich b. 1922, Sheila Victoria Renwick b. 1929 and m. to Geoffrey Banfield and Eleanor Renwick b. 1931 and m. to George Rowell.(3) Pearl b. 1888 who married Frederick. Not familiar with England.Thought only one Alston?This Alston in heart of the North Pennines area.My husband's grandfather was born at Marysport.
