I am so really pleased to hear from you.You are the first contact that goes directly to my grandfather.
I have been involved in genealogy for about two years and don't have unlimited info, but anythings I have, I will be happy to share. From your postings, I can see that we are in the same arena.I have just returned from my first trip to Greenville,Butler Co Alabama and in the courthouse was able to find some marriage license (copies of) and plan to post them for anyone who may find them useful.I worked in the Greenville Library with the terrific ladies there. Also found an address there and have made contact with Dr. E M Keebler.Have you contacted him?
Terry, I have never been able to find anything earlier than Samuel Sylvester Keebler that leads directly to him.Do you know who the earlier generations were? Was there ever a Saul Keebler or am I just imagining that I remember that name?I do have one or two pictures of Samuel, but because of a firewe lost all personal effects and the pictures are just snapshots, but show a large, gentle and very likeable/loveable man.I lived with him and and my grandmother at a much earlier age and really adored them.
At present, I am in Miami and do not have all info. When I return to Chattanooga, will send anything else from there.I will be here for several weeks, but still expect to have some info for you.
My e-mail is I will be so grateful for anything you feel like sharing.Do you know where/if Indian blood may have come from? Do you have the Peter Keeblers unconfused?
