Greetings, I am looking for some information on the background of Alby/Albion Keen/Keene (I've seen it spelled both ways). So far I am at a brick wall.
So far here's the information I have:
Albion/Alby Keene/Keen b. 1806 Calais, Washington, Maine d. 1890 Calais, Washington, Maine married to Nancy Estabrooks b. 1814 Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada l l l l Thomas Edward Keene/Keen b. 1833 St. Stephens, New Brunswick, Canada married to Susan Jane Pass b. 1848 Pennsylvania l l l l Gertrude (a.k.a. Amanda Gertrude) Keene/Keen b. 1879 Pennsylvania d. 1933 married to Charles Liddle b. 1877 Pennsylvania l l l l Ethel Dee Liddle b. 1901 Pennsylvania d. 1989 Akron, Summit Co., Ohio married to Paul Keen b. 1901 Illinois d. 1991 Bath, Summit Co., Ohio (My great gramps Paul Keen is not related to any of these Keen's, his family are Penn. Germans the original spelling of his name was Kuehn).
There is a claim of Metis ancestry through my great grandmother Ethel Liddle.
Her fathers family are Scots-Irish immigrants from Co. Tyrone who immigrated in the mid 1800's and settled in Pennsylvania, they married right away to the local Penn. German families and one Scots family, that side is locked in tight genealogy wise traced back to European nations, so that leaves her mother's family which is that of Gertrude Keene/Keen and I have a lot of gaps in that side of the tree so the Metis claim could fit in somewhere there especially considering that they were in New Brunswick.
I'm curious if anyone knows anything on the matter? Or has any general information on these Keene's?
