The tree you cite is even older than the one I was talking about! It is wrong because there were two John Keeps living in Wellingborough in the 1690's.The John Keep baptised 1692 is a direct ancestor of mine and is only very distantly related to your family. The baptism of your ancestor John Keep is not recorded, but he is the man who married Elizabeth Southwick at Henlow in 1710. Their son Joseph was baptised 1726, and the rest of the line of descent is OK.Your John Keep was the son of Thomas Keep, baptised Stanwick 1652 and married 1687 Elizabeth Robinson. I have traced the ancestry of this Thomas Keep back to the thirteenth century.
