Thank you so very much for the extensive Keep information. I would very much appreciate copies of the pages in your book that relate to Rev. John Keep, born April 20, 1781 & to Judge John Keep of Homer NY, born Feb 2, 1766.A Picture would be almost a miracle!Ozlynn@chartermi.net is my Email address.I will be more than glad to pay any copying charges, or other for your time & cost to do this!Thank you so much!
It appears from all I have found so far, that my GG Grandmother Frances Bement is related to Rev. John Keep, because her father was related to Sarah Bement married to Samuel Keep. Frances Grandfather was John Bement, married to Betsey Hitchcock. He was son of Jesse & Tryphena Bement, from Brimfield, MASS. It also appears that my GG Grandfather, Thomas Darby, husband of Frances Bement, is related to Judge John Keep, born Feb 2, 1766, because his Grandmother was Experience Goodell, 2nd cousin of Frances Goodell Keep & Susan Goodell Knight.Experience was the dau of Ebenezer, son of Thoms & Sarah Horrell. So not only did Frances Goodell & Susan Goodell live within 1 mile of each other, but directly across the road from the Judge John Keep home in Homer, NY (now the county home), was the farm of Joseph Darby & Anna Grow - she was the dau of Experience Goodell & Thomas Grow of Hampton Ct.Joseph's Grandson Thomas Darby is the man who married Frances Bement. Her Grandfather Peter Hitchcock also came from Brimfield at about the same time as Judge John Keep, & his brother Heli, was married to Tryphena Lyon, who was the niece of Experience Lyon who was married to Ebenezer Goodell!Confusing isn't it - but the bottom line is that many of the folks attending the HOmer Baptist Church were distantly related to the Keeps' & the Goodells, Kinne's & others including the Darby's.I greatly appreciate any information you might send.My personal E-mail address is Ozlynn@chartermi.net.
