Thanks Robert, I find that one has to rely on those familiar with the peculiarities of of a particular family to get a clear notion of them. This is especially true in that you can say you actually viewed Joseph Kierstead's headstone. I got the date from (and I'm guessing as to publication and author) and article in, I think, "Acadiensis" in the early 1900's, possibly by Raymond, Gorham, Ganong or one of the other NB historians of the period. I think you may know which article I mean. The problem is, that very often when I rely on such works, someone (including myself) who looks a little more closely comes up with something different.
