I was born in Chattooga Co. and have Kellet ancestors.I have been doing research lately and see Ruth's name a good bit. From all the chatter groups there seems a great common theme of Kelletts moving west and by varying groups and routes which shouldn't be suprising.I have seen references to Joseph the Patriot to have been born in Craven Co. NC vs. SC and a possible (much earlier around 1742) daughter named Ann (in an Abercrombie line) vs. his later Anna.Joseph's son Hohn has a Y.T.J. Kellett b. 5-8-1813 (per a bible entry) and there's inquiries of a Thomas Jefferson Kellett and sister Elizabeth in Texas (near Houston) early in by around 1830's (one suggests participating in the Army of the Texas Republic).I've seen inquiries where Kelletts from NC go to Tn and KY and thence to AR/MO.
I hope I am not wrong on this but I show John (1758-1787)with three brothers:William, James, Martin all presumed dying out by about 1800. John has 4 sons:John, William, James, Martin all born in the 1790's.Some one of these have a group in Chattooga Co. Ga. in the 1850 census as:Martin 48, Moses 40 dies that yr., William 30, Joseph 26.
