It began: MY DEAR NEPHEW (meaning my grandfather Richard Langdon - while he was serving in WW1)the letter (which my Mom has) tells of the War and how they miss each other and hoping all will turn for the best.
Names mentioned in the letter:looks like "Flep but could actually be "Phep" (short for Phillipa?)the (F)hep looks like a Capital "Y" in longhand but I figured it must be a "P" and Uncle Jacob
it is signed:Aunt & Cousin C Spry Annie xxxxx
the return address is: Mrs. A. Spry Railway View Pengelly Delabole/ Delabo(r)e Cornwall
It's a blue stationery that is folded in fourths with the address on the backside.I forgot to write the date -- but it was during WW1 -- we have pictures of my grandfather in uniform with his rifle at this time period.
If this is Philipa, she is a Langdon and would be the sister to my great grandfather William Thomas Langdon. So I am assuming she married a man named SPRY - possibly Jacob "Spry" or maybe this also could be a Langdon or some other surname.
