Dear Lisa, Have you ever heard of a book called: "Prussian Netzelanders in Green Lake & Marquette Co., Wisoconsin" by Brian Podoll? there is a copy at Oshkosh library and Berlin library (locked in a glass case). it is type written notes pulled from marriage records. Brian Podoll tried to tie our ancesters in Wisconsin to their homes in Germany.
on pages 72 & 73 of Prussian Netzelanders: Gustave Gottlieb FRITZ married Bertha Auguste Wilhelmina KELM (she was born in Kreis Senswalde [County Arnswald]) married at Manchester 13 Feb 1896 Vol. 6 (1893-1897) page 354 Gustave Gottlieb FRITZ married Martha Maria Elizabeth SCHADE married at Manchester 17 Oct 1896 Vol. 6 (1893-1897) page 423
I found this remarkable, he must have REALLY needed a wife! Bertha Augusta Wilhelmina (KELM) FRITZ, (1880-1896) buried in Manchester daughter of Edward Carl KELM & Amelia (Shade or Shady) KELM.
Also I am still trying to rekindle your interest in the search. If you can get to Berlin to the library, the book has lots of maps and tons of different spellings of the same place. Recently I have been trying to decipher German Script records from an Oshkosh church, and found them IMPOSSIBLE to figure out. Wondering where or how you got the Hunrichs Wal Kerto? I have some Kelms (in separate lines) from Kerth, Kreis Arnswald or Koerth, Kreis Ahrenswalde. Note that Bertha was born in Kreis Senswalde [County Arnswald]. Kreis means County. Wonder if that Kerto might be Kerth? If you have a photo copy of the record, try to figure if it might be possible. Hope all is well with you! Merry Christmas! Jan Manweiler
