Hi to all of you Kennelly/Kennelley/Kenely/Kinley families. My g.g.g.grandfather, Daniel Kennelly, b. 24 Dec. 1775, m. Jane, d/o John Shannon & Jane Dunlap,26 May 1803 documented in the Hagerstown Courthouse in Md., later moving to Haines, later called Gregg Twp, Centre Co. Pa. in Penns Valley. They had 16 children. Not all of them lived, but the ones who did either stayed in that area or moved on to other area's. I descend from their 6th child, James, who m. 1834, Sarah d/o John & Elizabeth (Rapp) Haberacker from Alsace, Berks Co Pa near Reading. They eventually settled in Mill Hall, Clinton Co. Pa. On Daniel Kennelly's naturalization Papers, he states, when asked; that he came from Co. Clare and then Co. Cork to America. So it seems to me that Daniel must've come in through a Port of entry somewhere in Md. It is said that he came over as a young lad of 9 or 12 years old. I would love to find who he came with and the name ofthe ship he/they came over on. My email address is Irishlovey@aol.com. By the way, My husband & I took a 15 day tour of all of Ireland, my lifetime dream come true. We hope to go backon our own in another year or so an d check our Co. Clare, altho I'm told the Family is mostly in Co Kerry & Limerick. Anyone have any thoughts on our clan?Dorothy Kennelley from Erie, Pa.
