Thanks alot, Pat!! That explains some things. It helps alot. I believe that may be the Z. Kennett and F. that bore a child William Kennett in Dec of 1837. This is my g-grandfather many times over. This William Kennett married Martha Canady/Cannaday of Patrick Co. Smith River VA.
Groom's Name: Zachariah Kennett
Bride's Name: Frances Ferguson
Marriage Date: 10 Mar 1835
Marriage Place: Franklin County, Virginia
Reference Number: p54
Collection: Virginia Marriages, 1785-1940
I believe things may not have gone well in this marriage either and she may have married Pleasant Thomas, bringing William with her.

A William Thomas is listed of suitable age and is gone about the time when william appears in Ohio. I am also looking for confirmation on his son, Sparrell Reuben Kennett, born in VA or Point Pleasant WV. I wonder if this Zachariah line does go back to the Pt. Pleasant Zachariah in some way because of the ties to Gallipolis. There is a Sparrell Thomas that shows up briefly that is the right age for Sparrell Reuben Kennett as well, and also disappears.
I also wondered about Nehemiah at one point.
Zachariah Kennett is an odd name, if you google it, you get references to Zachariah Kinot, or Zacharia's Kinot, which is biblical.
