I have now completed the assembly of the Civil Registers for England, Scotland and Ireland for the names Kernaghan, Kernahan, Kernohan, Kernachan and a few other different spellings. I have also added a few names from Canada, U.S.A., Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. It consists of 6,450 entries, from 1750 to date, together with a further 945 marriages that at the moment I am unable to associate with births because marriage records do not give ages of the participants and with common names like William, John, Margaret and Mary there are a wide range of possibilities. If there are any families with the above names, or their descendants, who would consider adding their details to my data base then I would be grateful and might help to fill in some of the gaps, it may also attach some of the marriages to the correct persons. You may also help another family to trace their ancestors. If you prefer, you can contact me by e.mail.
