I am seeking information on my great-aunt, Ann or Annie. My earliest documentation is the 1891 Scottish census, in which she is one of nine children living in Greenock with John Ballantine (sometimes Ballintine, sometimes Ballantyne) and his wife Eliza/Elizabeth/Jane/Elizabeth Jane, nee Hopkin/Hopkins. Her age is given as 11.
However, Eliza is John's second wife, and it is possible that John is not Annie's father. She is not in the family home in the 1901 census. I have marriage records for several siblings, but can't find either birth or marriage documents for Annie. In 1929, her youngest sibling, Christina, emigrated from her home in Greenock (also her port of departure) to Canada; she listed Annie Kerr, sister, as the relative she was joining. She gave Annie's address as "Norwich P.O." and an immigration official penciled in "Sask." I haven't been able to find a Norwich in Saskatchewan, but there is a Norwich, Ontario. At least one other sibling, Margaret, lived in Welland, Ontario (~100 miles from Norwich) with her husband William Cunningham, a plumber.
