ANDREW B. KERR, miller and millwright, P.O. Titusville, was born Aug. 16th, 1855, in Kerr's Hill, Oil Creek Township, this county. His father, William Kerr, one of the oldest pioneers of the township, and as on of Andrew Kerr, is also a native of this township. Here he married Miss Catherine Conover, and settled where he now lives. Their children are: Mrs. Sarah Ann (Kerr) St.Clair, of IA; Andrew M. Kerr; George C. Kerr; Garrett B. Kerr; William H. Kerr; John N. Kerr; Mrs. Ophelia (Kerr) Alcorn, of IA; and Albert B. Kerr Jr.. Mrs. Kerr died in 1877. Mr. Kerr survives here at the advanced age of eighty-two and is one of the most highly respected citizens of the township. Albert B. Kerr married Miss Maggie J. Mack, April 20th, 1881. They have two sons: Arthur N. Kerr and Stanley A. Kerr. In Feb, 1884, a partnership was formed consisting of Albert B. Kerr, Garrett B. Kerr, Hugh Jamison and James W. Crawford, for the purpose of carrying on a mill near Titusville on the Buffalo, New York & Philadelphia Railroad. They erected a new building and fitted it up with machinery. The mill was opened in May, and by strict attention to business principles they are building up a large and flourishing custom. Mr. and Mrs. Kerr are consistant members of the Presbyterian Church. He is an earnest supporter of the Prohibition party, and at the County Convention in April, 1884, was nominated as their candidate for Prothonotary. Garrett B. Kerr was born July 4th, 1844, and married Miss Emma Kerr, April 30th, 1871. Their children are: Lydia L. Kerr and Frederick C. Kerr and Kate Kerr.
