Do these names look familiar? Mrs.Amos(Mary) Kerr's obit date of death Feb 21, 1888 is in an "unknown" family tree on Ancestry World Tree Project with the Kerr's I have done numerous postings on. Mrs. Kerr died in Lincoln County, Kansas where Henry and Eliza Jane Kerr Kerr homesteaded in 1877. Thier info is included in this tree. This could be the brother or cousin of Henry Kerr or Eliza Jane Kerr Kerr that joined them in Kansas. The person who did this tree or anyone else working on family trees and genforum must of given up-there is so little info. Apprently their parents were from Ireland/Scotland-Tyrone, Ireland, Ulster Ireland, Lana? Scotland and they went to Iredell, N.C. according to records-LKerr family tree on ancestry lists Eliza's father Robert born 1792 and the son Robert b1815 ut on the census for Coddle Creek, Iredell, NC but no response from the person who keeps listing this place for his Kerr ancestors. Or about Nathaniel Kerr born 1776 in Ballbeeny, Donaghedy Parish, Ireland and Nancy Provans his wife born in tyrone, Ireland. Robert Kerr is listed as his son and in 1830-Iredell, NC Putting this together obviously a son needs to strike out on his own and probably went to the same colony in Mifflin Co., PA that so many seem to of gone to after immigrated. I guess the Kerr Clan came and went to relatives already settled much like foreign immigrants did. Thanks for the help.
