Hi Kewleys, wherever you are. My grandfather Thomas Hargreaves Kewley may fit the description. Our family history remains a mystery prior to about 1911.My grandfather died in 1949 when I was 10 and living a couple hundred miles away. Reported in obituary he was 62 at the time of his death (30 May 1949) which makes his birthday about 1887. He and his wife (the former Florence Morris, from Sydney, Australia) had settled in Newport News, VA, USA in the early 1930s (after living in Norfolk,Virginia (VA); Elkins ?, West Va; Roanoke, VA at other times as salesman of photographs and picture frames, and plumber (steamfitter during his latter years). One child, Thomas Hargreaves Kewley, Jr. was reported to have been born or adopted on July 4, 1911 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.This was my father, who married Mary Pickin (also English family history) a native of Virginia, on 23 Feb 1935 in South Mills, North Carolina. She lives today at age 85 in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, USA. Dad died nine years ago on 30 May 1992, the same day of the year his father died. His Dad, THK,Sr and his wife Florence came to the USA as employees of the Cunard/White Star Line about 1910 and stayed in the USA until they died.My mother, Mary, believes THK, Sr had a brother called Bart, which we think is nickname for Robert with connection back to IOM and perhaps Liverpool area. Anything more is guesswork on my part.Would be happy to hear more from Kewley family extended. Best wishes to all from Bob Kewley, in El Paso, Texas, USA.
