Jesse Kicklighter(1855-1915) was married twice. First to Sarah "Sallie" James, dau of Benjamin D. James. PIONEERS OF WIREGRASS GA., Vol 5, pg 226-227, lists Benjamin D. James's daughter, Sarah, born 1854, as having married Rev. Jesse Kicklighter.
Jesse married second, circa 1899, Drucilla Riggins (1871-1943), dau of Rance and Rachel Minchew Riggins.
Funeral home burial records from Pierce Co., Ga. lists Rachel Bell Sweat(1892-1934) as the daughter of Jesse Kicklighter and Sallie James.
PIERCE CO GA History by Dean Broome,Vol I, pg 92, 492 give these death notice: Jesse Kicklighter at home near Blackshear, Mar 27, 1915, 25 minutes after death of sister Mrs. M. W. Waldron. Both buried in Ben James Cem.
Mrs. Drucella Riggins Kicklighter, 71, widow of the late Jesse Kicklighter, died 18 Apr 1943. Two daughters, and four son survive.
The 1860 Bulloch Co., Ga census for George and Nepsey Woodcock Kicklighter lists son Jesse, age 4. The 1870 Byran Co., Ga census for George Kicklighter lists son Jesse, age 17. Not sure this is the correct Jesse, but he fits the time frame.
