IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN. I Anne Davis of the Parish of Southfarnham in the County of Essex being sick & weak in body but in perfect cense & memory thanks be to Almighty God & calling to mind the uncertain state of this life and that it appointed for all once to die do make this my last Will & Testament IMPRIMIS
First I commit my body to ye earth from which it first came. Secondly my soul to God who gave it to me and as for what small Estate it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give and dispose in form following VIZ
ITEM I give & bequeath all my estate amongst my four children Mary, Frank, Else & Rachel to be equally divided
ITEM It is my will and desire that my daughter Mary Brisendine keep my other three children Frank, Else and Rachel till they come of age.
ITEM It is my will and desire that my estate be not appraised or sold. I do appoint my Daughter Mary Brisendine my whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament revoking and disannulling all other Wills before made as Witness this 7th day of October 1738 (no signature)
Ye above Ann Davis did desire her estate to be disposed of as above directed & made her daughter Mary, Exx in our hearing and desired us to take notice thereof Octr ye 7th 1738

At a Court held for Essex County at Tappa on the 17th day of October 1738 This Nuncupative Will of Ann Davis, dec'd was presented by Mary Brisendine the Executrix therein named who made oath thereto and being also proved by the oaths of Thomas Kidd and Elizabeth Kidd the witnesses thereto, was admitted to record.
Pg 150 Mary Brisendine and Thomas are bonded for one hundred pounds sterling
Pg 152 & 153 TO THE WORSHIPFUL COURT December ye 15th 1738 A Just & True inventory of Ann Davis Estate dec'd ... items listed and valued to total four pounds four shillings three pence (some items being:) Bed Chest, parcel of pewter, fine glass bottles, parcel of earthen ware, Four hundred and fifty nails, one parcel of cash (two shillings eleven pence), Knife & fork, Spinning wheel, Two ewes, six shoats, parcel of old Syder casks, two books, sixteen yards of Virginia Cloth, one old book, two cows and one yearling
In obedience to an order of Essex County Court, we the subscribers met and appraised the Estate of Ann Daviss dec'd which was presented to us by Mary Brisendine, Executrix of the sd dec'd Winess our hands the day and date above written
