I know of only one Thomas Kiggins
1) Thomas Kiggins/Kiggans b 1790 believe to be in Ohio Co VA married 1-6-1814 in West Liberty VA to Lydia Baxley he died on 5-16-1835 Near West Liberty VA Lydia is believed to have been born in Baltimore Maryland (A possibly sister to Thomas is one Martha Kiggins who married John Baxley in Ohio Co VA on 11-21-1811)
My dad believed Thomas's parents to be John Kiggans and Mary UNK these two are buried in Stone Church Cemetery at Wheeling John died in 1835 and Daddy said the dates for Mary where unreadable when he visited the cemetery.
Thomas served in the War of 1812 under Capt John Bennet Co of Infantry 6th Regiment Virginia Militia. His pay was 8.00 a month. He received a pay of 6.89 for travel from Norfolk VA to Ohio Co Va a distance of 520 miles. His wife Lydia applied for a land grant in 1855 but it is not known if she received it.
