THOMAS O'REILLY son of DENNIS O'REILLY/MARGARET HALLORAN, married MARY ELIZABETH KILLALEA, October 1, 1871.Thomas served in the Civil War, Infantry, and then Calvery.
They lived in the Oshkosh, Omro, Wisconsin area and had the following children. They may have lived in Winneconne, Wisconsin as well.
Margaret b. December 25, 1873 Susanb. December, 1878 d. February 28, 1897 Thomasb.1879 Henryb. April 20, 1880 Gertrude b. August 1, 1883
Margaret and Gertrude, I belive, never married. They lived with the mother Mary Elizabeth on the grandfather's farm.Thomas, their father was a neer-d'-well drunkard who deserted the family.Thomas, the father, sometimes worked as a lumberjack while trying to get disability from the Army.Susan died young and was buried with my grandparents, Mariah and Alexander O'Reilly.Alex was Thomas, Sr. brother.I would assume that there was no money to bury Susie and her tombstone at St. Thomas Cemetery in Omro, Wisconsin pulls at the heartstrings. I have no information on Thomas, Jr. at the moment but will be searhing for this family to see if I can find the connection back to Ireland.
Alexander O'Reilly married Mariah Flannigan.
The parents of Alexander and Thomas O'Reilly were Dennis O'Reilly and Margaret Halloran. Most are buried in Omro,Wisconsin at St. Thomas Cemetery.
