Thomas Jefferson Killion (1809/1862) m. Jeanette Anna Van Diver (no record of marriage found - she may have been his 2nd wife). Thomas J. purchased land in Moultrie Co., IL in 1836 and their first two children were born in IL in 1847 & 1848. Albert J. Killion (1816/1899) m. Anna Taylor in Shelby Co., IL in 1842 & he purchased land in Moultrie Co. in 1838. Their first two children were born in IL. Edward Killion (c1810/-?-) m. Rachel __?__ & had 6 daughters born in IL between 1831 & 1842.
By the 1850 Census, these 3 fellows were living in close proximity in Davis Co., Iowa. I believe that they were brothers .... all listed their birthplace as KY.Albert was Adm. of Thomas J.'s estate and both they & their wives are buried in the same cemetery plot.
There is the possibility that Thomas J. was the T. J. Killion who married Saphronia Latrop in Sangamon Co., IL in 1829 but that is only speculation at this point ... Interestingly, Edward named a daughter "Saphronia" in 1831).
Any assistance or clues regarding the parentage of these three would be deeply appreciated.Kay
