I am the granddaughter of Allen Franklin Kilpatrick. He was the son of William. I would very much like to exchange information with you regarding my grandfather's family. He was adopted by William and Gertrude McCollough of Sandy Creek area of Walton County with his sister, Fronnie, Frank was 6 and Fronnie was 9 years old. Also, I would like to exchange information on the different wives of William. We were told by my oldest living aunt that her grandmother's name was Susan.I know he was married to Lizzie Morgan. As for sister Virgie, she is on the 1900 census, age 4 with Janee Kilpatrick,48 in the household of William and Vicie Alford in the Walton County, Limestone District, Florida. They are listed as boarders. In 1900 there is a William Kilpatrick in Escambia County with a family that includes "King" age 3. This appears to be the King that is found with William and Lizzie in the 1910 census with Hosea, 25; and Jesse, 2. I have found this to be one of the most difficult families to decipher. My father was James Edward Kilpatrick, son of Allen Franklin Kilpatrick and Beulah Elizabeth Bolton. His brothers were Fletcher, Willmer, Harold, Glen, Dewey, and Cecil. His sisters are Nettie,Blondell and Beulah Mae. They were born and raised in the area of Glendale Florida in Walton County and then in Okaloosa County in the Niceville-Valpariso area. Only Dewey, Cecil and my three aunts are still living. My grandfather and grandmother divorced when I was about 5 years old and we were not extremely close to them. I remember names--Jasper, King, Hosey, Jesse, Fronnie and Virgie being spoken of. My mother is still living and she tries to sort things out for me but she isn't always certain of the relationships. Please email me at my posted email on GenForum. Thanks. Faye Kilpatrick-Vines.
