I may stir up things today, but here goes.I was looking over some 2008 queries by Pauline Priest and Glenna Kinard. The info was very enlightening. I have had this info on John Henry Kinard & wife, Christina Long for several years and have been adding info as I found it.My wife is the Kinard line I have been researching.I am a Whaley, Whalley, Waley depending back in the 1700"s how they sounded it out and wrote the name down. I have Whaley lines that I have been researching in NC. , SC., Ga., Fla.
I have found Kinards in the same states. My wife is great at finding little bits of info & history on the internet and I add them where it is appropriate.Enough of talking now, let me add some info that may be of interest to you all. My wife so far is not connected to the German ancestry as we thought she might be. She is of the Daniel Kinard , Sr. ancestry that goes back to the Newberry/Barnwell Co.,SC., then moved to Montgomery Co., Ga.What I am putting here is the German line, In Germany it was spelled Keinat, but in Dutch Forks, Newberry Co, SC. it was spelled Kinard. :
