(On Rosa Ella Kindel): "Info posted to Kindel msg bd at Genealogy.com by Becky ____ 4 Feb 2003: Kindel isn't one of my lines, but I am interested in the Indiana Kindel family whose daughter Rosy Ellen ( Ella ) married my g'grandfather Dr. John Blankenshipof Maryville, TN. She was his 3rd wife and they married a few months after his second wife died and left him with 3 small children. During the Civil War, Dr. John was in the 3rd Tn Union Infantry as Asst. Surgeon. From his pension records I know that he spent time in IL and maybe IN recuperating from severe illness and I womder if there could be a connection with the Kindels there .I have a copy of an affadavit giving the family births of the children of Issac Kindel and Delila Tappy Kindel( parents'names from Ella's death certificate). Delila was b. in 1818 and Ella was the youngest child, b. in 1864. Although Ella and Dr. John had no children of their own, older relatives have told me that she was a wonderful, loving mother to those 3 children, the oldest of whom was my grandfather. If anyone is interested in a copy of the Bible listing of births, I'd be glad to send a copy. Also , I have a copy of a newspaper article about Ella's brother Andrew Jackson ( A. J. ) inventing a piano truck. Ella was such a loving mother , that I just want to honor her memory by offering this info to anyone from her line, or anyone who is interested. If anyone knows anything about her family, I'd be interested in receiving that info. --Becky" 2. (on Reuben Kindel & descendants): --Source, correspondent:William E Kindel, 6405 Newman Rd, Clifton, VA 22024 in a letter dated July 1988.The approximate birthdate of Reuben is deduced as being about 25 years earlier (a generation) than Isaac Kindel, his son, for whom the year 1813 is listed as the birthdate.Marriage date of about 1810 is also deduced as being just a few years earlier than Isaac's birth-- could be several years earlier if Isaac was a later child in a large family of children. --Diana Craig Busche or sent info 12 Dec 97 on Reuben Kindel & family of Page Co VA; Reuben b. Isaac is her 3rd great grandfather. She has Delilah's bible. She notes that Isaac's son Albert had a biographical sketch written near the turn of the century that gave Reuben as the name of his grandfather from Germany. Also, Eliza and George Kindel also have a son named Reuben. Naming patterns of the five are also similar. --Cathy Burnsed posted an obituary on Kenneth French son Hubert French/Bessie Kindel, dau of Albert Kindel per above sources.
