James Wilson Kindell was born in Hot Springs, Orange Co, Virginia 3 Oct 1816.By 1846 he was living in Randolph County, MO, having purchased land in Twp 52, range 13.He married first Caroline Adams in MO.She died; no living children.On 16 Sept 1846 he married Elizabeth Ann Smith, born 6 Sept 1826 in Madison County, VA, daughter of Augustine Smith (abt 1798 - 1876) and Frances Anderson (abt 1796 - <1860).They are both buried in Pleasant View Cemetery near Cairo, MO.James died 3 Oct 1916; Elizabeth died 7 Feb 1914.
