I have the following synopsis of George W. Kingery's Civil War Pension Application.It should help back up what Sharon posted.
Pension Appliation for an invalid - 14 July 1879 George W. Kingery White County Illinois enlisted 21 Aug 1862.at Elm Grove, ILLCompany C 87th Ill. Infantry Discarged 16 June 1865 age (I think in 1879)33 yrs.5' 7" dark hair, dark eyes, dark complexion. He had chronic diarrhea, lung disease and rheumatism.
William G. Aud, now a resident of Clark County Ark (Dovepark, Ark) said that White CO. Ill was his native place.That he moved to Gallatin Co., Ill in 1873 and then to Clark Co., Ark in 1875.That he had been a neighbor and was well acquainted with George W. when he enlisted.as well as knowing him from childhood.Said he was a "neare" neighbor to said soldier from chidlhood up to 1875 when Aud moved to Ark in Oct 75.In Sept 1879, soldier moved to Ark and since that date, Aud has worked with soldier often.Written in Dec 1882
James Dawsey of Emma, White Co., Ill., aged 66 (in Nov 1882) swesrs he was neighbor to Said George W. until 1879 when he left the state.
Miles W. Buress, age 57 and Eli Edwards, age 37, of Emma, White Co., Ill.Attest theknew George W.from time of enlistment until 1879 when he left Illinois for Arkansas.
Dec 1882 - L. M. Lee, aged 39 yrs, and S. I Lee, aged 41 yrs, Manchester, Clark Co. Ark, swear they are well acquainted with George W for 17 yrs. - first became acquainted in fall of 1865 immediately after his return from war up to 1875 when they (affiants) left state..and in Sept 1879 George W. moved to Arkansas.Have been intimately acquainted ever since.

Application for widow's pension7 Aug 1912 Jane Kingery, ged 63, resident of Dalark?Dallas County, Ark.widow of George W. Kingery enrolled at Elm Grove, Ill on 2 Aug 1862 as private in Company C 87th Elinois Mounted Infantry.
Married under name of Jane McMullen at New Haven, Ill, 10th day of Nov 1867 by Samuel Absheer.That said soldier died 3 June 1912 at Dalark? Dallas Co. Ark No children under 16 years of age.
Typed copy of marriage certificate - George W. Kingery & Jane McMullen of White County ILL.Married by Samuel Absher, Justice of the Peace, on 10th day of Nov 1867.
Affadavit of William G. Aud - that he was present at and eye witness to the marriage of George W. & Jane Kingery on 10th Nov 1867.That they lived together until his death on the 3rd of June 1912, to which fact he was also an eye-witness.Dalark, Ark. William G. Aud & S. I Lee state that George W died 3 June 1912, and was married to Jane Kingery 10 Nov 1869, and that they have known them since their marriage.
Affadavit of: Henry W. Rippyaged 46 yrs John Kingery. aged 45 yrs. Wesley McCallisteraged 37 yrs Geo. L. Aldridge aged 35 yrs B. B. York, aged 42 yrs. all residents of Emma, White Co., Ill. All know George W. Kingery for from 24 to 35 years. and that he was not disabled before the war but returned in disabled condition.
